Chief Detective 1958 Episode 1 and 2 Ending Explained
The series begins on a light note, where Detective Park Yeong-Han, a young and ambitious cow thief catcher, is transferred to Jongnam Police Station in Seoul. After seeing the condition of the police station and the law, Yeong-Han is devastated.
His chief, Yu Dae-Cheon, is also unable to recruit good officers due to a lack of reputation among the city and the people. His faith in Yeong-Han to retrieve the law and order in Jongnam, as well as the underlying drugs and legal activities, is slowly creeping into the upcoming episodes.
Park’s first encounter with goons favored by his department makes him lose his mind. He is even given a reputation as the cop who let loose poisonous snakes, making Park a public hero. Willing to take down goons himself, he finds a crazy cop, Kim Sang-Sun, also known as Mad Dog.
Another local rice vendor, Jo Gyeong-Hwan, who is as mighty as Hulk, smashes and tosses people like a cakewalk. Another entry of a rookie (fresh from university), Seo Ho-Jeong, who is naive and dreams of becoming a cop, slowly paces in when he meets Park.
